Facing the Future with Blurred Vision

Scripture:

‘We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!’   1 Cor. 13:12

Observation:

I have always gotten frustrated when I cant see the clear picture.  Paul here encourages us that it wont be long till the fog lifts. There is the day coming when our eyes will be fully open and we’ll see the Master’s plan unfolding in its fullness.

Application:

I have always had major issues when faced with one of those 3D hidden pictures.  Deliberately blurring my vision and peeking through squinted view seems totally unnatural to me. Just like not seeing the path clearly or having directions for the journey. Paul encourages me thought that it is okay that I don’t see things clearly… but one day I will!

Prayer:

Father, you know the areas I have blurred vision and how much I long to see it all clearly.  I recognise that you are calling me to greater growth in my trust of you. I commit afresh today to trusting you fully.  Help me in this I pray. That I would walk by faith not by what I see.
